The business
LIT Construction Group deliver brickwork, blockwork, stonework, brick slip systems, secondary steelwork, cavity fire barriers and cladding across London. Clients include Vistry, Guildmore, BJB and HAUS Block Management.
They're a young company, and they have been deliberate about it: CHAS Advanced, CQMS, and Constructionline Gold.
“We're a young company and we've gone after the accreditations hard. Vyce is how we evidence them — when someone asks for proof, it's there, not something we go and build.”
Accreditation is a paperwork problem
CHAS Advanced, CQMS and Constructionline Gold all come down to the same thing: can you demonstrate, on demand, that your people are competent, trained, checked and paid properly.
Holding the certificate is the easy part. Being able to produce the evidence on the day someone asks is where most companies come unstuck — particularly growing ones, where the processes were built for a smaller business.
Teams, Time and Pay as one record
Competence and right-to-work evidence lives in Teams, against the person. Attendance lives in Time, recorded rather than remembered. Payment and CIS compliance live in Pay.
Because they're one platform, the evidence assembles itself. There's no exercise before an audit, because the audit trail is just how the business runs.
What it means
For a young contractor competing against established names, accreditation is how you get on the tender list. Being able to evidence it instantly is how you stay there.
