The business
Proplant Scaffolding are an award-winning commercial scaffolding contractor based in Brentwood, working across Greater London, the South East and the Home Counties. Over twenty years in business, and a client list that includes Canary Wharf Contractors, Mount Anvil, Wates and Countryside Homes.
Their work includes The Shard, the Gherkin, Wood Wharf, Keybridge House and Royal Eden Docks. In 2025 they won NASC Project of the Year.
They've used Vyce for seven years, across Vyce Time and Vyce Pay.
Vyce Time — fixed sites and mobile teams
Scaffolding doesn't sit still. Proplant run both fixed-site teams and mobile teams moving between jobs across the capital, and the second group is the hard one to manage.
Vyce Time handles both. On fixed sites, people clock in on their phones with no hardware to install. For mobile teams, the breadcrumbs view shows where everyone is in real time.
That changes how the day is run. Dispatch decisions are made on where people actually are rather than where they're assumed to be, and nobody is ringing round to find out.
It also produces accurate time logs instead of approximate ones — which is where the time saving and the payroll accuracy both come from.
Vyce Pay
Time flows straight into payments. No rekeying, no reconciling a spreadsheet against a timesheet, no arguments at the end of the week about hours.
Accurate logs in, accurate payments out.
What it means
Seven years is a long time in software. Proplant stayed because the thing works on the part of their business that's hardest to see — the teams who aren't on a site, they're between sites.
