The business
Winchmore Brickwork provide a complete brickwork management service across London north of the Thames and the northern Home Counties — Essex, Hertfordshire, Middlesex, Bedfordshire, and as far out as Milton Keynes and Bedford. A core workforce of around 100 tradesmen.
That geography is the problem Vyce solves. A hundred people spread across six counties is not a workforce you can manage by walking the site.
“We were running the workforce across different systems and a lot of spreadsheets. Now it's one place — who's on, where they are, whether they're compliant, what they're owed.”
One place instead of several
Most subcontractors end up with a system per problem. One for onboarding. One for time. A payroll bureau. A folder of scanned cards somebody updates when they remember.
Each of them works. Together they don't, because the answer to any real question lives in three of them and a spreadsheet nobody else understands.
Winchmore run Teams, Time and Pay as one platform. Compliance, attendance and payment are the same record, not three records that need reconciling.
Vyce Teams
Cards, qualifications and right-to-work checks sit against the person, with expiry tracked automatically. Nobody chases, nothing lapses, and proof for a main contractor takes seconds rather than an afternoon.
Vyce Time
Clocking in happens on phones. No hardware to install at every site, which matters when the sites are an hour apart.
Vyce Pay
Hours flow into payments without rekeying. CIS verification, deductions and monthly returns all run from the same data.
What it means
For a procurement director, the value isn't any one module. It's not having to open four things to answer one question.
